GRANULES TYPE MODIFIER
1. Gradual and Controlled Mixing
Granules integrate more slowly into the bitumen, allowing better control of swelling and dispersion, especially in continuous or batch mixing processes.
Ideal for drum or horizontal mixers.
2. Lower Dust Emissions
Significantly less airborne particulate matter compared to powders during storage and mixing.
Improves worker safety and plant cleanliness.
3. Better Storage Stability in Some Blends
Larger granules can offer reduced risk of premature devulcanization if stored correctly.
Useful in blends with microspheres or polymers, where rubber should maintain structure before activation.
4. Flowability and Handling
Granules are easier to handle in bulk transport, bagging, and automated dosing equipment (conveyors, feeders).
Less prone to clumping from humidity than powders.
